The original photo is the top one. The original was originally exposed more in favor of the shadows.

My objective with this edit was to try to better balance out the overall feel of the exposure of the image to make it have a more balanced appearance, while bringing out certain details more. The most visible differences are the slight boosting of the shadows in the lower part of the image while also pulling out the details of the rocks on the opposite side of the pond. A vignette was also applied along with several other adjustments in various locations.
