for this cow I tried to align the rule of thirds grid with his white triangle and the bump of his rear hip. i also cropped out a lot of empty space.

here I lined up the plants from small to large and centered them with a slight angle 

I centered the frame on the split she makes with her paws and fur. I shot portrait to exaggerate that line.
