Final

About Me:
My name is Alyssa Herbert. I am 18 years old and I am in college, getting ready to serve an 18 month mission for my church. When I first started this project, I was intrigued by so many people. Not only about how many times people looked into mirrors, but because of the way they looked into them. Mainly common in women, but men as well, dreaded the thought of looking into a mirror. Seeing their own reflection. I was so skeptical as to why. Then I realized that I was the same way. I hated looking into mirrors because I was afraid of the outcome. So for this project I decided to use that for fuel. I decided to photograph mirrors and their reflections. Most of the photos are nature based, but some are not. This is intended to show that we are so much more than what we see on the surface. If we just look deeper and really focus on the reflection and the deeper meaning of it, we might actually be pleasantly surprised at the discovery of our new found self.
