In Between
Artist Statement
As I began this progeny I wanted to express the phase that I feel I am currently in however I also wanted it to reflect who I am as an individual. An art form that I have allots been able to express myself through is poetry. A few days before I cam up with this concept I work a poem entitled The In Between that became the inspiration for this piece.
Fairytales have always been something I have loved however lately the Happily Ever After that I have always dreamed of seems more only after away then ever before but seems to the expectation. As I created this project I began to realize that every part of the story of these character is so key how they develop. Without this in-between phase the end could not be accomplished. Not only do I feel that this project has been successful but I fell it has had a real impact on how I look at my life and how I will continue forward.
