Artist statement
This project is about showcasing different athletes and
their sports using the environmental portrait. I wanted to portray the
confidence of the athletes, their ability, and how much they enjoy their sport.
They are in their element doing what they love.
I photographed nine different athletes from a variety of sports. Each of
them are either on their court, field or in their studio. The photographs show
off their skills, the equipment, and their confidence. This exemplifies the
spirit they have on the field or playing competitively in a game. They mean to
win.
