One weekend when I was at my parents house, I watched my brother and his friends play with dry ice. Watching the smoke from the frozen carbon dioxide dance through the air has always captured my interest. I love the way the light gas dances and twirls through the air. I knew from that moment, I wanted to capture the way the fog interacted with its environment.
I have also loved Star Wars for as long as I can remember. And watching the smoke from the dry ice reminded me of a scene in The Empire Strikes Back, where Luke Skywalker is on Degobah training to be a Jedi. Since then, this project evolved into expressing my love for an iconic series and fulfilling my desire to capture the magic of playing with dry ice. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I loved making it.
