In Hollywood there are storylines known as “Fish Out of Water” and they are created to portray an individual who is out of their element in a comedic context. For example, when an individual is placed in a situation out of the norm they feel uncomfortable.If you take a group of people, they will each feel as if they are the most awkward person in the room, add a camera and those feelings are amplified. In this photographic series, I wanted to explore the idea that everyone wears a fish hat of their own that illuminates our internal awkwardness.
