Final Book-Kelsey Griffiths

Growing up in a small town, I have always been surrounded by farms, and therefore old farm equipment. I captured these photos in a way that it feels like you are driving down the road and taking in the view. I photographed from a distance for two reasons, one so the whole structure is in view, and also to give the picture context. I wanted to show the rural farm life that I am grew up with. I played with the vibrancy of these photos because I was intrigued by the red color in the wood and rust and wanted it to stand out. All of these photos were taken in Juab County, where I grew up, as well as Sanpete County. I wanted to capture the integrity of these structures and vehicles that are still standing today. My main purpose was to preserve the scenes I photographed, not make them look fake or picture perfect, so that is what I tried to do.
My book is called A Glimpse of the Past.
