Final Book-Kerby McDougall

It has been said that the eyes are the windows to the soul.  Eyes are unique to each person.  The light they reflect is a glimpse into a life story from a perspective seen only through them.  Each has seen things that others haven’t. If you look close enough it’s easier to see part of the story, and sometimes its hidden deep within.  This project is about love, pain, sorrow, wonder, and beauty.  Not only through the eyes of the subjects, but possibly through the eyes of the beholder.  I have always found eyes to be very interesting, no eye is the same. Have you ever noticed when you look super close at your eye, you see a little design around the pupil? To some it might look kind of like a star or a flower. To me I find this very fascinating because every eye is different in a small way – like a snowflake, no two are the same.  Have you ever met a person and wonder where they’ve been, what they’ve seen, and what they’ve felt?  Each of my subjects for this project have a different story. I was able to photograph their eyes from different angles and capture my subject’s story in one photo.

"I've seen wonder..."

"I've seen bravery..."

"I've seen comfort..."
"I've seen sorrow..."

"I've seen compassion..."
"I've seen patients..."

"I've seen pain..."
"I've seen friendship..."
"I've seen fear..."
"I've seen regret..."
"I've seen adventure..."
